ZKS Attorneys Edwards, Pape & Baker Participate In Barry Law School Presentation

jedwards_4-11sal1The Orange County Bar Association’s Professionalism Committee recently gave a presentation to law students at Barry Law School about professionalism challenges & solutions, in and out of court. Presiding Judges and Practicing Attorneys talked to students about the path that they have taken to his or her current judicial position or legal practice area, as well as discussed the professionalism challenges seen both inside and outside the courthouse.

James Edwards of Zimmerman, Kiser, Sutcliffe, current Chair of the OCBA Professionalism Committee, rounded up an elite group of panelists this year. The first of two, one hour-long sessions included Orange County Judge Antoinette Plogstedt; veteran board certified, criminal defense Lawyer- Chan Muller; personal injury trial Lawyer with his own firm- Michael Kest, and former Chief Planner for Orlando and current transactional, real estate, land use Lawyer, Scott Baker. The second session of panelists comprised of Ninth Circuit Court Judge Alicia Latimore; Chan Muller again; commercial litigator and past president of the Young Lawyers Section- Kristopher Kest; commercial, construction and corporate litigator recognized as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers magazine and also recognized for outstanding pro bono service- Sarah Pape.  Sarah Pape and Scott Baker are both attorneys at Attorneys at Zimmerman, Kiser, Sutcliffe along with James Edwards who resided as Moderator for the Pizza and Professionalism series. The students were eager to meet and talk with real Attorneys and Judges, and together they all thoroughly enjoyed the pizza.
