ZKS in the Community

| October 30, 2017

Shareholder Bill Robbinson says he has received lots of encouragement and support from many different sources during his career, and he enjoys opportunities for giving some back.  Alongside his wife Nancy (who also serves on the Orange County School Board), the Robbinsons serve on the Board of Directors for United Against Poverty Orlando.    United Against Poverty believes in giving a hand up, not a hand out.  The organization provides support and services to “inspire and empower people living in poverty to lift themselves and their families to economic sufficiency.”

Bill’s passion has encouraged others to join him in supporting United Against Poverty, steering ZKS’ Firm Administrator and Personnel Director to become involved with the organization’s  STEP Program.  This involvement has led to ZKS employing a graduate of the program who has been a tremendous addition to the ZKS Family.

Recently, a group of ZKS’ staff and attorneys joined Bill and Nancy at United Against Poverty’s annual “Hand Up Luncheon” which raises funds to support the growing needs of the organization.  This year’s lunch raised over $190,000 that will go towards the purchase of a new parking lot and additional building space.

ZKS is proud to work alongside United Against Poverty and others in our community who seek to improve the city in which we live and work.
