James A. Edwards Appointed Treasurer Of American Board Of Trial Advocates

Shareholder James A. Edwards  of Zimmerman Kiser Sutcliffe (ZKS) law firm was recently appointed Treasurer of the Central Florida chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

The American Board of Trial Advocates is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. First and foremost, ABOTA works to uphold the jury system by educating the American public about the history and value of the right to trial by jury.

Edwards recently brought ABOTA and the Orange County Bar Association together to sponsor two ABOTA created professionalism presentations to students at Barry University School of Law.  Edwards and other members of ABOTA will present the ABOTA seminar “Civility Matters”  at meetings of the Brevard County and the Osceola County Bar Associations.

A Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer and a Certified Mediator with more than 30 years of experience, Edwards represents clients in a wide range of litigation matters, including wrongful death, personal injury, product liability, corporate, banking, and professional malpractice  throughout Florida and the Caribbean.  In addition to multiple awards, last year, Edwards was presented with the prestigious William Trickel, Jr. Professionalism Award by the Orange County Bar Association.
