Steve Hatcher has over 30 years of experience in various transactional areas. Steve began his practice as a real estate and tax attorney and has extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and documenting complex real estate transactions for both local and national clients throughout the United States. Steve also routinely advises clients on the structuring, development and sale of their businesses. As Steve’s clients and their business interests have matured over the years, he now devotes a large part of his practice to employing sophisticated tax planning and wealth transfer techniques to protect their hard earned assets from estate and transfer taxes.
Steve’s clients include mid and large sized Florida businesses, local and national real estate developers, families with substantial wealth requiring sophisticated planning, along with charities and various ministries. Steve holds the highest rating of “AV Preeminent” from Martindale Hubbell, has been honored to be listed in the publication Leading American Attorneys and has received the designation of Super Lawyer from Super Lawyer Magazine, being counted among the elite 5% of Florida attorneys to receive this honor. Steve has also been named as one of Florida’s Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine.
In the community, Steve devotes a substantial amount of time advising a variety of local churches, private schools and charitable organizations on a reduced fee or pro-bono basis, and currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the National Christian Foundation Orlando. In addition, Steve also sits on the Board of Directors for The Jobs Partnership of Florida, Inc. a non-profit corporation meeting the needs of the chronically underemployed in the Central Florida community. Steve currently serves as President of ZKS. He is also a Certified Christian Conciliator in association with Peacemaker Ministries and the Institute of Christian Conciliation. In 2011, Steve was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. He authored Safe in the Storm, The Grace of God in the Midst of Cancer to tell how his faith has been an integral part of his journey and how it has grown along the way.
